DWA is helping train the high school athletes for Austin’s $25 billion dollar projects including airport terminal, convention center, project connect, IH-35 expansion, and more over the next 10 years!
What is the All Stars Career Recruiting Program?
We help athletic students who excel, but are not recruited for college, get trained for a career! Scholarships Available!
Only about 2% of high school athletes are awarded athletics scholarships to compete in college and less than 10% overall proceed from high school to NCAA, yet there are hundreds of thousands of excellent athletes who have proven themselves highly coachable and great team players – perfect candidates for a trade career!
Why Digital Workforce Academy?
With over 23 years of leadership, practical ‘boots-on-the-ground’ experience, and grassroots achievements in workforce development in Texas and beyond, we’ve trained over 5,000 people and provided successful job placement assistance with an 80% retention rate for our graduate hires. Since 1998, Digital Workforce Academy has been training the workforce with Pre-Apprenticeships and then matching them with our partners to help fill apprenticeships for business expansion. We have developed programs in technology, industrial and commercial trade, construction, robotics and advanced manufacturing, with more added yearly based on industry needs!
Our purpose is to provide waypoints at every step of the journey to ultimately help our athlete recruits obtain meaningful, high-income jobs that lead to fulfilling careers for themselves and their families.

I always want to better myself.
What more could you ask for? If you have a problem, they are here to listen; they are here to help you. This program changed my quality of life. If you want to better yourself, this is the place to be.
I was thinking about getting some classes for continued education. They told me what I needed to do, gave me the directions to get there and things like that and it just took off from there.
All it takes is dedication and commitment. The sky’s the limit. It all depends on you!
This program is a blessing. It’s a great opportunity for anybody looking to get into a career.
It doesn’t matter your age, if you’re male or female, your race. Anyone can be a part of this and help their future to be quite a bit brighter than it is now.
How Does It Work?
We reach out to Coaches to see if they have athletes who work hard and while they were not chosen as all stars in their sport, the Coach believes they are All Stars in life! Recruitment Letters are then sent to the athletes and their families with a short Application. We go through the applications and schedule interviews with the athletes and chose our All Star Recruits. Scholarships Available! Then we invite them to their Signing Day and Register them for their classes. It’s that simple!
Our Pre-Apprenticeship Vocational Trainings
With a shortage of trained personnel, apprenticeship programs are becoming a golden opportunity. Offering hands-on training, many lead to well-paid, licensed vocational roles. Our Pre-Apprenticeship programs give you the training you need to walk into these apprenticeship positions in only 10 weeks of training (depending on program). Like other Opportunity Youth programs, we focus on providing education, job training, mentorship, and other resources to help them reintegrate into society and achieve self-sufficiency.
Digital Workforce Academy (DWA) is a Department of Labor recognized Pre- Apprenticeship program. Our Department of Labor Registered Apprenticeship partner is MRSW Management, LLC. We train and place people across multiple crafts and multiple employers.
Pre-apprenticeship and registered apprenticeship programs are a proven path to providing for our athletes’ family and community: as an apprentice they “earn while you learn,” earning wages above industry average while developing essential knowledge both in the classroom and on jobsites.
Your training may include:
Phase 1 (2weeks InClass): Critical Thinking and Problem Solving, Basic Construction Math (tape measure, fractions)
Phase 2 (8weeks Hands-On): Industrial training which can include: OSHA10 (certification upon selection), NCCER Core (certificate on completion), Level 1 craft that may include Pipe Fitting (inc tac welding), Carpentry, Basic Rigging, Scaffolding, Hand&Power Tools, Motorized Equipment, and much, much more… based on employer needs.
